Tonight we will be making a Green Monster Shake for dinner. It is quick, full of nutrients and super yummy. You can revise according to your likes and dislikes but the following recipe is really yummy and serves 2 peeps, or just you two times if your buds are scared to try it!
We start with some ingredients:
OJ or fresh squeezed, I am trying to use up some OJ I had for my niece.
Strawberries, FRESH ARE BEST!
Blueberries, FRESH IS BEST!
Spinach, YUM!!
Avacado-Again FRESH
Ice cubes are great as well but not needed, our fridge doesn't work really well and doesn't make ice so I have gotten out of the habit of using them.
Add a splash of water for consistancy just before blending.
Don't forget you need a nifty blender. This Kitchen Aid ROCKS. I had a very old Kitchen Aid (still have it) but wanted to replace it with a newer model just to have a nice good working blender!

Place the juice in the blender, less than a quarter cup, or none at all rest will be water.
Add in the blue berries, handfull.
Add in the spinach, as much as you like.
Add in the avacodo, cut one in 1/2 and spoon it in.
Add in the strawberries, about 5.
Add in Greek Yogurt for texture and protein (two big spoonfuls). You can also do protein powder and water.
Isn't the cat cute, he thinks he is getting a monster shake! When you are done adding stuff put a little water in, about a 1/4 cup and blend well. You will have a yummy TWO SERVING healthy shake, YUM...
